Data privacy & security in Focus AI

When you use Focus AI, your data stays yours. Here's how Teamleader Focus keeps it that way.

Your data stays in the EU

Focus AI is built in Belgium and hosted entirely within the European Union. Your business data, your conversations, and everything you give to Focus AI never leave European infrastructure.

Your data is never used to train AI providers' models

Focus AI is powered by Anthropic's AI models. Anthropic processes your prompts solely to generate a response; your data is never used to train their models.

Your chats are private

Each user can only see their own conversation history in Focus AI. No one else in your account has access to your chats. You can rename or delete any chat from your history at any time.

Every action requires your approval and is tracked

Focus AI proposes; you decide. Before creating, editing, or deleting anything in your account, it shows you a clear preview and waits for your confirmation. Every action it takes is always logged in the activities of every detail page (a contact, a deal, an invoice, ...), so you always know what happened and when.

User permissions always apply

Focus AI works within the same permission structure as the rest of Teamleader Focus. It can only do what the logged-in user is allowed to do. An admin will have broader access than a standard user, exactly as in the product itself.

An admin can disable Focus AI for the entire account or for individual users at any time. Read more in What is Focus AI and what can it do?

What Focus AI can access

Focus AI can only access data that already lives in your Teamleader Focus account: contacts, companies, deals, quotations, invoices, projects, and time trackings. It has no connection to external sources and cannot browse the internet.

Subprocessors

Teamleader works with a number of subprocessors to deliver Focus AI. You can find the full and up-to-date list of subprocessors via Legal information in your Teamleader Focus account.
