Focus AI is included in every Focus package, with a monthly allocation of AI credits. The Focus AI Pro Booster is there for when you want to go further: more credits, and the ability to build and share your own Custom Skills tailored to the way your team works. Read all about it here.

• A larger monthly credit bundle (your choice between four bundles)
• The ability to create, test and share your own Custom Skills
   

How to activate Focus AI Pro

Only admins can activate the Booster. Follow these steps to add the Booster to your licence:

1. Click on your user icon in the top right-hand corner and choose Manage license 
2. In ‘Your Boosters’ you can find ‘Focus AI Pro’
3. Choose your amount of credits and click on Add
   

Here’s an overview of the different credit bundles: 

• The price is the same regardless of your Focus package. 
• Once activated, the AI credits are available for everyone (once enabled, cf. below) with access to Focus AI in your account once enabled
• Free credits are used first, then Pro credits.
• There is no daily limit (per user) on extra Focus AI credits.
• There is one Booster per account, so activating it applies to your whole team. 
• The same downgrade rules apply as for other Booster changes.
   

Use Pro AI credits

After the Booster has been added to your subscription, you and other users can start using the extra AI credits. Make sure to enable the "Allow user to use Booster AI credits" permission for any team members who need access to the extra AI credits, as the permission is turned off by default.

 

Custom skills

Next to the extra credits, the other functionality the Booster has is Custom skills. 

• Where standard Focus AI Skills are built by Teamleader Focus and designed to work for every account, a custom skill is yours. 
• You write the instructions once in your process, your tone of voice and your definitions, and Focus AI follows them every time. 
• Create a skill for chasing overdue quotations, writing follow-up emails in your brand voice, or walking through your qualification criteria step by step. 
• Once a skill is ready, you can share it with your whole team so everyone works the same way.
   

Who can use, create and share Custom Skills?

With Focus AI Pro, everyone in the account with user access to Focus AI will be able to:

• View and use default skills;
• View and use shared custom skills;

• Create a custom skill from scratch. 

  -> For a user to also be able to create and share an organisation skill, the toggle ‘Create and share skills’ must be enabled in their user permissions (Settings > Users > under the AI section).
  
   

Creating a custom Skill

Go to Focus AI > Skills and click the arrow next to Add skill from library, then choose Create skill from scratch.

 

Fill in the following fields:

• Skill name: this also becomes your slash command (e.g. /create-quotation)
• Tags: to help you find and filter skills later
• Description: a short explanation of what the skill does
• Instructions: the core of the skill: what Focus AI should do, how it should communicate, what rules to follow. Note that depending on your access rights, some instructions may not function as intended.
• Check the box Create as organisation level skill if you want the skill to be available to everyone in your account automatically, including new team members who join later. It will be enabled for all shared users by default. Recipients can disable it but cannot remove it. Organisation level skills automatically default to the Auto + Slash command trigger. 
  
• Trigger: Each skill has a trigger that determines how it is activated:
  • Slash command (default): you manually invoke the skill in chat by typing its slash (/) command. Use this for skills you want to use deliberately.
  • Auto: Focus AI automatically applies the skill whenever it detects something relevant based on the skill’s instructions. For example, if your instructions say “Always end conversations with a summary”, Focus AI will do this automatically without you having to trigger it.
  • Auto + Slash command: the skill can be both auto-invoked and manually triggered. This is the default for organisation level skills. Because auto-invoked skills run based on how well the AI interprets the instructions, there may be cases where they aren’t triggered when you’d expect. In those cases you can always invoke the skill manually with the slash command.
     

Once created, the skill is active for you right away. Try it out using the Try now button before sharing it with anyone.
 

Sharing a Custom Skill

Open a skill you created and click on Share at the bottom. 

 

You can share it with:

• Everyone: the skill becomes available to all users in your account
• Specific colleagues: search for or select individual team members
   

Sharing a skill gives recipients use-only access. They can enable, disable, and use the skill, but cannot edit or delete it. Sharing always shares the same skill, not a copy. When you improve the instructions, everyone who has the skill gets the update automatically. When you share a skill, recipients are notified both in-app and by email, with a direct link to the skill:
