Every time you use Focus AI, it uses AI credits. AI credits determine how much you and your team can do with Focus AI each month and how many questions you can ask. This article explains how AI credits work, where to find your AI credit usage, and how to get more AI credits when you need them.
How AI credits work
Each interaction with Focus AI such as sending a message, running a skill, or loading more results, uses AI credits. Actions that involve more processing, like bulk changes or multi-step tasks, use more credits than a simple question.
AI credits are allocated at account level and shared across all users in the account. The amount of free monthly AI credits depends on your package:
- 100 AI credits for Go and Smart
- 200 AI credits for Move and Grow

300 AI credits for Boost and Flow and the Agentur package (DE)
Once all AI credits are used up, no one in the account can use Focus AI until credits reset on the 1st of every month. Unused AI credits do not carry over to the next month.
To prevent one person from using up the full amount of monthly credits in a single day, each user has a daily AI credit limit. The daily limit is 70% of your package's monthly AI credits:
- Go/Smart: 70 AI credits per day
- Move/Grow: 140 AI credits per day
- Boost/Flow/Agentur: 210 AI credits per day
Focus AI usage
You can check your personal Focus AI usage at a glance directly in any Focus AI chat. Click the Usage indicator (small circle) at the bottom of the chat to open a small popup:
- Daily AI credits: how much of your daily limit you've used today

Monthly AI credits: how much of your monthly limit you've used this month
Click on Usage details to go to the full overview or click on your user icon in the top right corner of Teamleader Focus > Manage license > Focus AI usage tab. Note that only users with admin rights in Teamleader Focus are able to access this page.
Here you'll find:
- A chart showing how much of your monthly AI credit budget has been used
- Your total AI credits used versus your monthly credits, with the date your AI credits reset
- A Usage by user table showing how many AI credits each user has consumed this month, their percentage of the total, and when they were last active
Using AI credits efficiently
Some actions use more AI credits than others. Being specific in your prompts avoids unnecessary usage. Asking for "the 5 most recent open deals for this customer" uses fewer AI credits than loading a full list and clicking "Load more" multiple times.
