Automatically freeze time tracking in Teamleader Focus

Accurate time tracking is only valuable if historical data stays reliable. The automatic freeze feature lets you lock time entries after a set number of days, so your team's timesheets always reflect what was actually worked, without last-minute edits throwing off your reports, invoices, or payroll.

How it works

As an admin with access to the settings, you stay in full control: you can always make corrections when needed, while preventing regular team members from adding or editing time entries older than the number of days you've configured.

Enabling automatic time entry freeze

Follow these steps to automatically freeze time tracking:

  1. Go to Settings > Time Tracking > Time entry restrictions

  2. Enable the toggle next to 'Freeze time entries automatically'

  3. Choose after how many days time entries should be frozen;
    • You can either type a specific number between 1 and 365 days,
    • or use Quick set to pick a preset: 7 days, 14 days, or 30 days.

Note: As stated above, the freeze restriction only applies to regular users. Admin users with access to Settings can always edit all timesheets, including frozen entries.
